Common Signs of ADHD in Children
ADHD symptoms are generally grouped into two main categories: inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. Some children may have mostly one type or a combination of both.
Signs of Inattention
- Difficulty paying attention to details or making careless mistakes
- Trouble staying focused on tasks or play activities
- Frequently seems not to listen when spoken to directly
- Fails to follow through on instructions or finish tasks
- Difficulty organizing tasks and activities
- Avoids or dislikes tasks that require sustained mental effort (like homework)

Signs of Hyperactivity and Impulsivity
